DLX Ranks No. 74 on Inc. Magazine’s List of the Midwest Region’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies
DLX makes the 2024 Inc. 5000 Regionals: Midwest list for the 6th year in a row.
Inc. magazine announced that Dynamic Logistix (DLX) – a third-party provider of shipping technology and freight solutions – is No. 74 on its fourth annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: Midwest list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing Midwest private companies.
Managing more than $1 billion of freight, DLX focuses on small-to-middle-market shippers by providing end-to-end logistics solutions that manage and track shipments, automate tasks and performance reporting, reduce risk, and ultimately save companies time and money.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the accomplishments this team continues to make year after year,” said Jason Yeager, DLX’s Managing Partner. “This will be our sixth consecutive year being recognized by Inc. as one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing companies, and it’s proof that our product and the team and culture we have at DLX are all working together for the greater good of our partners.”
The companies on this list show a remarkable rate of growth across all industries in the Midwest region. Between 2020 and 2022, these 172 private companies had an average growth rate of 134.06 percent; by 2023, they’d also added 14,830 jobs and $24.5 billion to the region’s economy.
Complete results of the Inc. 5000 Regionals: Midwest, including company profiles, can be found at inc.com/Midwest.

Technology on a tightrope: How robust is your IRP?
Technology is great…when it works right? Imagine your organization’s tech systems are like a circus performer walking a tightrope while juggling flaming torches. Now, picture an incident response plan (IRP) as the safety net below, sprinkled with a bit of magic dust that turns potential disasters into minor hiccups. This safety net doesn’t just catch you when technology decides to do a faceplant; it’s there to ensure the show goes on, the audience none the wiser.
First off, knowing your systems inside out is key. Which torch is most likely to set your pants on fire? Prioritize that! If your email system is more temperamental than a diva on opening night, make sure you have a plan to calm it down, fast.
Next, everyone in the circus needs to know their part in the emergency dance routine. When a system goes belly up, having a plan that clearly states who’s catching the torches (and who’s calling the fire brigade) is essential. It’s like having a choreographed routine for when things go off-script.
In the end, crafting an incident response plan is about making sure that when technology tries to throw your performance off balance, you’re ready to turn it into part of the act. After all, the show must go on, and with a solid IRP, it’ll be more of a comedy than a tragedy.
Reach out to IT Director, Joe Leigh, at jleigh@kompasskapital.com to discuss the robustness of your incident response plan (IRP).

January: Wedding month at Kompass Funding!
The Kompass Funding team would like to congratulate our account executive, Zac Demos, on getting married on January 6! His wife Domi had always hoped for a “white wedding” and fortunately got her wish (pretty good odds for a January wedding).
We not only want to celebrate Zac’s marriage but highlight his hard work and accomplishments since joining Kompass Funding in June 2023. He has added over 30 opportunities to our pipeline and has closed TWO factoring deals. Great work, Zac!
The KKF team feels lucky to also learn professionally and personally from one of the best in their industry, our CEO John Minnis – who coincidently just celebrated his 24th wedding anniversary in January. Abby Czinege falls behind John in a close second with two years of marriage on January 15. Who knew winter weddings would be the trend at Kompass Funding!

Welcome VP of Commercial Credit, Tom Moster

He brings eight years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically within private credit and working capital solutions. If you haven’t met Tom yet, please stop in and say hi!
