Kompass Kapital Management Honored with Spirit of Philanthropy Award: A Testament to Transformational Impact
Kompass Kapital Management (KKM) is proud to announce that we’ve been recognized as a 2024 National Philanthropy Day Honoree by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Kansas City. This year, KKM was awarded the Spirit of Philanthropy – Business Award for our unwavering commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve.
As the saying goes, “The root of philanthropy is building relationships that inspire impact,” and at KKM, we believe that true philanthropy begins with building meaningful connections with the causes we care about. These relationships are the backbone of our work with over 53 local and national charities, and we’re driven by the belief that philanthropy is about choosing to give more of ourselves to create lasting, transformational change.
One of the key partnerships that showcases this spirit is our ongoing work with Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City. Over the past 3.5 years, Kompass Kapital has invested $209,000 and contributed 672 hours of volunteer work to help build affordable housing solutions in Kansas City. Through this partnership, we’re committed to creating a future where every family in our community has a place to call home – a secure foundation for future generations.
At Kompass Kapital Management, we’re honored to receive the Spirit of Philanthropy award, and we’re more determined than ever to continue our mission of giving back. As we look ahead, we remain committed to fostering meaningful relationships, creating opportunities for our employees to volunteer their time, and making a lasting difference in the communities we serve.
As we celebrate this recognition, we’re reminded that philanthropy is about priorities—choosing to give more of ourselves to something greater than us: the causes that we care about and the communities that need our support. Thank you to AFP Greater Kansas City for this incredible honor, and for shining a light on the power of giving.
We’d like to extend a sincere thank you and congratulations to all the other honorees of National Philanthropy Day. Each of these winners is driving meaningful change and inspiring others to do the same. Together, we’re building stronger, more compassionate communities one act of service at a time.
