Laura Venn is General Counsel at Kompass Kapital, where she provides comprehensive legal oversight and strategic legal guidance across the enterprise. She leads legal risk analysis, management, and mitigation in support of the firm’s strategic growth and long-term objectives. Prior to joining Kompass, she spent nearly a decade practicing at Am Law 100 firms, including as a shareholder at Polsinelli PC, where she advised companies at all stages of growth, helping them raise capital, execute acquisitions and divestitures, and navigate day-to-day operational and commercial matters. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. She resides in Overland Park with her husband, son, and two dogs.
